Stella C. Stavrou, DDS, FACP

Dr. Stella Stavrou is a maxillofacial and board-certified prosthodontist who is extensively trained in fixed and removable tooth and implant dental restorations. She is dedicated to providing thoughtful, personalized care for patients with restorative, implant, and complex dental needs.

Her clinical focus includes full-mouth rehabilitation, implant prosthetics, advanced removable prostheses, cosmetic restorations, advanced restorative dentistry, and maxillofacial reconstruction. She is passionate about managing complex cases that require a multidisciplinary and individualized approach, while also helping patients achieve natural, functional, and confident smiles through both comprehensive and everyday restorative care.

Dr. Stavrou earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with minors in Music and Chemistry, from Stony Brook University. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated with distinction in research. She enhanced her scope of advanced general dentistry and surgery by completing a General Practice Residency at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Healthcare Center (West LA VA) where she served as chief resident. She completed her specialty training in prosthodontics at the West LA VA Hospital - University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), followed by advanced fellowship training in maxillofacial prosthetics at UCLA.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Stavrou serves as a lecturer and clinical instructor at the UCLA School of Dentistry and is a dental professor at Saban Community Clinic, where she is involved in teaching, mentorship, and serving the community through patient care and education.

Dr. Stavrou is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontists, a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, an Associate Member of the Pacific Coast Society of Prosthodontics, an active member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and an active member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Recently, Dr. Stavrou was recognized as one of America’s Top Young Dentists in 2026 through Incisal Edge’s “Top 40 Under 40” distinction. She also completed Glidewell’s Guiding Leaders Program in 2025, a leadership program focused on professional growth, collaboration, and advancing leaders in dentistry.
